Acheivements

Many students are getting top ranks in national and international level competitive examinations like GATE, CAT, GMAT, TOEFEL and GRE etc. Every year many students are presenting their Papers in National and International Conferences/Seminars/Technical Festivals and are selected for Best Paper Awards.

SSS PROJECT

The Sustainability Support Scheme (SSS) Programe of the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India, took part. The main objectives of this Project were to make the department self-sustainable through earning by way of conducting (Continuing Engineering Education Programe) CEEP courses, consultancy etc.

Network Project

The Department has also been selected for implementation the Electronics Education Network Project (Network Project) along with four other Institutions in the Southern India by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). A 256 KBPS leased Line connectivity is installed. The Department has its own Website. There is a greater Interaction with the staff and students of the institution by way of exchanging lectures, Conferences, Seminars, course material Preparations, and other joint Projects etc.

TEQUIP Project

Under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQUIP) many new Laboratories like VLSI, Advanced Communication Systems, Digital Signal Processing Speech Signal Processing are established.

Recognition

The Department was accredited by NBA with “A” Grade for five years and is ISO 9001 Certified. Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education has graded this Department with 7.9. Three Teachers of the Department received the state awards and one faculty member Received “Vishveshwarayya” Award from IETE award.

The Department has also contributed learning modules in the SONET Program in the areas of Communication Engineering, DSP and Network Theory.
